Intern (Fintech) – 6 months contract
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the banking industry jointly launched the Fintech Career Accelerator Scheme (FCAS) to nurture young talents for the industry, and provide participants with an opportunity to better prepare for future careers in the banking sector. Bank of Communications Co., Limited Hong Kong Branch is devoted to develop young and passionate talents for our business growth. The scheme targets at the student from local universities and will be offered six-month work opportunities and receive industry-specific training.
Job Responsibilities:
-
Conduct research and write reports on IT latest trends.
-
Participate in the operation and administration of the Innovative Lab.
-
Participate in FinTech application prototyping.
-
Participate in Proof-of-Concept activities and coordinate the evaluation process.
-
Formulate innovative proposals to senior management and bank executives.
-
Work as project assistant in cross-departmental workflow optimization projects.
-
Work with Shanghai headquarter development centres on several projects. Business trip to mainland may be necessary.

Receive necessary IT and business trainings.
We are looking for candidates who possess:
-
High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
-
Fast learner with good research skills and interested in new technologies.
-
Work proactively and presentable.
-
Good team player with strong problem solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Knowledge in Banking & Finance, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Mobile App Development, etc. is an advantage.
-
Knowledge in programming languages like Java, Javascript, Python, SQL is an advantage.

Information Security Manager
Duties:
-
Develop and implement IT security control reviews and settings for banking systems to ensure appropriate controls are in place and in adherence to IT security policy and standards
-
Evaluate, identify and mitigate new IT security threats, and enhance the bank's IT security initiatives
-
Manage the implementation of IT security policies in IT infrastructure and systems, and assist in preparing information security audit
-
Review the security tasks in related to IT audit
Requirements:
-
Degree Holder in IT or related disciplines, with minimum 8 years’ working experience on system and/or network configuration. Holder of CISSP / CISM / CRISC / CISA certification with CCNP / CCDP is preferred
-
Hands-on experience in vulnerability scanning, patch and PID management is an asset
-
Strong understanding of Information Technology Risk Management and information security practices
-
Solid knowledge in firewall, router, switch, anti-spam, intrusion prevention / detection, VPN, Privilege ID and access control systems, Microsoft Windows and Linux system
-
ECF achievement on Cybersecurity is the definite advantage

Section Head, Trade Finance and Services
Duties:

Lead a team to monitor the daily operations and checking import & export documents within delegated authority

Assist in the reviewing of the relevant policies / guidelines and participate in ad hoc projects
Requirements:
-
Degree holder or above in Business Administration or related disciplines, with minimum 8 year’s relevant experience in bills documentation checking
-
Familiar with bills products and UCP 600 is highly preferable
-
Sound knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations pertinent to bank
-
Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese

Manager, Treasury Transaction Settlement
Duties:
-
Responsible for trade verification and operation support of various treasury products
-
Assist in collateral management by preparing relevant reports, monitoring the status of margin calls and preparing collateral movement for certain products
-
Assist in transaction reporting according to regulatory requirement
-
Participate in systems development and testing when needed
-
Handle inquiries from front desk, counterparties and clients
-
Assist in any ad-hoc duties and projects
Requirements:
-
Degree holder in related discipline with minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in banking industry
-
Sound knowledge of treasury products(e.g. FX, MM, BOND, IRS); knowledge of OTC derivatives is preferred
-
Sound knowledge in SWIFT, RTGS and Good PC skills including MS Word, MS Excel and Chinese Word Processing
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is an advantage

Good interpersonal skills, teamwork, independent and proactive

Section Head, Business Analysis (Business Systems)
Duties:

Lead the team to manage the banking system projects to ensure the timeliness and quality of deliverables

Analyze project requirements to determine best process solutions
-
Manage project processes, documentation, progress reporting and status meeting
-
Work closely with various stakeholders from HK and China including business users, operation team and IT team to ensure effective project communication
Requirements:
-
Degree holder in Business Administration, Information Management or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5
-
Minimum 8 years' banking experience of which at least 5 years in leadership position in the area of Business Analysis, Business Process Analysis and Project Management
-
PMP and Six Sigma certification qualifications are preferred
-
Solid knowledge in retail business, risk control and banking operations
-
Strong presentation, negotiation, organization and problem solving skills
-
Good in written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese
